JOYFUL TRAVEL IDEAS
The idea of getting away from our daily lives and taking a trip to a new and interesting destination can be compelling, and even a necessity at times. There are endless opportunities awaiting the adventurous soul, and enticing places just for relaxation and regeneration. I would highly recommend making it a priority to plan at least one "holiday" trip per year. One week is a minimum to refresh the body and mind; preferably two weeks for a more complete experience without rushing. Make sure to build in plenty of time for just unwinding and having fun with local activities. Weekend trips are great for the occasional celebration or visits with family and friends.
Over ten years ago my domestic partner and I began taking vacations at timeshare condo resorts. We love to stay at these places for many reasons. They are more like a "home" apartment with living rooms, fully equipped kitchens, dishwashers, clothes washers/dryers, patios or lanais, in addition to the normal hotel amenities such as swimming pools, jacuzzis, exercise equipment, etc.; and many have nice restaurants and spas on the property or nearby. We save a ton of money by buying our own groceries and eating in more than out. There are now timeshare resorts at nearly every major vacation destination. We own timeshares in Maui, Kauai, Cabo San Lucas and Orlando.
You don't have to own a timeshare to experience the resorts; there are many rentals available on the market. As owners we have access to many great discounted rental deals at hundreds of these resorts. Timeshare villas come in sizes from studio units (usually with a mini kitchen) to one, two, three and even sometimes four bedrooms (or you can rent 2 two-bedroom units if you need the space).
